Last week I had the privilege of attending the preview evening of 'Exquisite Corpse', the newest exhibition curated by design agency Sumo as part of Design Event.
The name comes from a traditional parlour game that most of us would know better as 'Consequences'. In short, a much more sophisticated version of the folded paper drawings we all used to make with friends as children. In this exhibition, artists, designers and illustrators from all over the world have created visual statements, in response to each other, forming stories which evolve organically in often surprising ways.
As you can probably tell, I was most impressed and that's not just because there was an open bar and I have friends exhibiting! And for added fun, you can play a little illustrative game of your own and add it to the gallery. Check out this masterpiece by me and my friends ;)
The exhibition is open until 30th November at the Newcastle Arts Centre - everything you need to know can be found on the official site. Get yourselves down there!
