Music Video Monday: Pomplamoose

For your musical delectation today, I present one of my favourite bands - Pomplamoose, a Californian two piece made up of instrumentalist Jack Conte and vocalist Nataly Dawn. 





I just love their transparent approach to music video making - what you see is what you get. No hidden sounds, no lip syncing, it's all there right in front of you.

I felt pretty hard pushed to pick just one of their tunes to show you today, so I urge you, set half an hour aside, build yourself a little YouTube playlist and let their melodious tones wash over you. Their version of Lady Gaga's Telephone is a particular treat, but in my opinion, Dawn's beautifully old-fashioned vocal stylings sound best when tackling pieces by artists like Edith Piaf and Julie Andrews.
